Our Story
Our journey began in 2023 with a simple conversation between neighbors; a couple with a passion for sustainable practices and extensive experience in business, and a brilliant scientist chasing his dream. We were in pursuit of the same goals individually, and realized that together we had all the necessary elements to make our vision a reality.
When we first entered the market with our dried grub product in 2024 it became clear that the quality of BSFL being sold in the USA was not at the level that customers demanded. They sited crumbling and inconsistent grubs with heavy metal reports that were extremely high.
Imported product makes up over 80% of the BSFL sold in the US market today, but we are on a mission to change that. After visiting with countless feed store owners, backyard chicken farmers, and even with pet feed manufacturers; the message is clear. They all want a BSFL feed that they can trust, grown right here in the USA. Many of our customers feed their families with the eggs their chickens lay and some slaughter their birds for meat. We understand that the food your hens eat is directly connected to the food that nourishes your loved ones.
